Kiwi Gardens - Panel 26

Marie and Stella returned to their district of origin, District 6, on a special request by District 6 Leader Trenton Koopa. In 1959; a rather ugly lighthouse was built on Four Hummock Point; which was an engineering headache from the word go. Now; the foghorn refused to stop blaring; and mechanics couldn't rectify the problem. Now; the Suburb of Ottawa Council voted to dismantle the lighthouse; and leave parts of its wall behind as a decorative ruin. Stella and Marie assisted a group of locals dismantle the lighthouse's machinery; which would be put on display at the Jarvis Town Maritime Museum in District 3. During the disassembly; Pelee trod on a plank with a tin of oil drained from the foghorn generators on it; splashing the oil all over his face and shirt; covering his goggles. Stella and Marie burst out laughing; while Trenton looked on at Pelee; being rather annoyed with him for his carelessness. After the internals and the lantern room were removed from the structure; jackhammer teams chiseled out sections of the walls to form pillar like columns on both the equipment room and the tower.
